Also called pipe, verti-bar, vbar, stick, broken bar, vertical line, vertical slash, bar, obelisk or Sheffer stroke.

This symbol is on the same key as the Backslash.

To type |

1. Move your left pinky finger to hold the left Shift key.
2. Move your right pinky finger to press its key.
3. Immediately bring back both fingers to the their respective keys in the home row.
